Location Baked: Musique Concrète for the masses http://pressdoc.com/p/000gu5
Summary
Location Baked is 'looptop' music: An album evocative of different places and times, constructed entirely on a laptop from loops and found sound. Inspired by the "Pop Concrète" experiments of The Beatles (Revolution No.9), OMD (Dazzle Ships), Saint Etienne (Wilson), early Art of Noise, Ready Made, Negativland, Girl Talk and others. Location Baked is the alias of Justin Toland, a Cardiff-based music-maker, music critic (FACT magazine), music historian (New Hormones Records) and music fan.

Quotes
Revolution #9 is probably the most skipped Beatles song of all time. Yet, for better or worse, I am inspired by that track, and similar attempts to bring Musique Concrete to the world of pop music.

There aren't enough cakes in rock: I want to rectify that. If it was good enough for The Rolling Stones for the sleeve of 'Let it Bleed', it's good enough for me. Maybe one day the Celtic Cakes Studio will be as famous as Delia Smith.
